Trans Clothing Swap
The Uniting Pride Center of Champaign County is proud to be running a clothing drive to help transgender individuals at this year’s Pride Festival! The transition process is a time consuming and costly process for many transgender individuals. Our goal is to gather clothing to help ease the burden for transgender people who may be early in transition and need some of the basics, or those who lack sufficient means to purchase all of the clothing they may need.
Please consider donating your gently worn or new clothing items to help this often underserved and overlooked minority group.
We are currently accepting clothing drop-off at the Uniting Pride Center’s new location in downtown Champaign: 44 E Main St, Suite 516 in Downtown Champaign. You can also contact us and we can pick up donations.
12 noon to 3pm Saturday September 6th at the Hyatt Place Champaign.
The UP Center and the Hyatt Place are proud to offer Educational Workshops to members of the community. We will hold 6 workshops, 2 each hour.
