Mon , April 16, 2012The LGBTA Awards is designed to celebrate the achievements of the LGBTA campus community at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. All students, staff and faculty are encouraged to nominate their peers, students, colleagues, and co-workers for one of the awards listed below. Nominations must be submitted via the following link: http://www.go.illinois.edu/lgbtawards (or click on the image to the left). Recipients selected for an award by the LGBTA Awards Committee will be honored with a Certificate of Recognition at the Lavender Graduation & Awards Ceremony on May 2, 2012 at 5:30 pm. The deadline for nominations is 5 pm Monday, April 16, 2012.
Day of SilenceFri , April 20, 2012LGBT Day of Silence is April 20, 2012. The LGBT Resource Center and LGBT student orgs are sponsoring multiple events on campus that day: 11-3 Info Tables on the Quad. Noon Rally on the Quad. 4 PM “Die-in” at Green & Wright Streets. 5 PM Breaking the Silence Rally at the Alma Mater. 8-10 PM Green St. Hug In prep in the LGBTRC. 10 PM Green St. Hug In.
